Letter from the President

Dear Parents, Football Players and Cheerleaders:

Welcome to the 2011 Somerset Hills Bulldogs Football and Cheer program! 

For new families joining for the first year, welcome to the Bulldog Family.  For returning families – welcome back! 

Your 2010 Board and Coaches have made a number of improvements for the 2011 season:

1)   Somerset Hills has moved from the larger National to smaller town sized American Conference

2)   For all age groups possible, the program will fund and require baseline testing for concussions

3)   Our new Web Site will be leveraged much more to help improve communications

4)   Improved player recruiting techniques are being performed at all 4 towns (but we still need your help in recruiting players!).

5)   A newly created position of Director of Football Operations to lead all technical aspects is well under way.

6)   Upper 3 levels start practice Aug 1, lower levels not until Aug 15

7)   Minimum play rule will be defined and put in practice.

8)   Certified sports trainer will be at every practice and home game.

9)   Synchronized practice schedule for all levels at Bernardsville Polo Fields.

10)   Standardized coaches and player training and game plays across all levels, age appropriate.
